adult medical day program provides services to adults that have high acute medical needs. Funding is currently provided by the maryland medicaid program which is administered by the maryland department of health and mental hygiene. Attendance records are maintained for each adult and maryland medicaid reimburses for each adult on a per diem basis. Invoices are generated monthly and payments are typically received within 2 weeks thereafter. Total attendance for fy17 was 13,045.
support services to provide guidance to the community and families on care of developmentally disabled citizens, employment for developmentally disabled citizens and counseling to families. Total attendance for fy17 was 13,337.
day habilitation services for adult individuals include structured supervision, monitoring of their skills and abilities, and specific envirornments where individuals adapt to learn life skills eventually. Day hab is a step towards vocational training to most individuals that do not easily fit in to the employment structure. Community learning service for individuals include integrated community settings that improve communication, social skills, health and/or increase their employment or chances of becoming employed.
