Mission: Center for independent thought seeks to expand awareness of the issues of individual liberty, free markets, and peace. Toward that goal, cit works with teachers, scholars, and international free-market organizations to develop critical thinking and bring the ideas of liberty to freedom-loving people around the globe.
Programs: Stossel in the classroom - distributes popular cable tv news anchor john stossel's dvds and streaming videos, along with teacher guides, to middle and high school classrooms around the country - challenging conventional wisdom about many of today's issues. Cit also sponsors an annual student essay contest based on a john stossel special.
