Mission: To provide individuals the opportunity to maximize their medical recovery and rehabilitation potential efficiently in an environment that recognizes their uniqueness, dignity and self esteem. It is our commitment to enhance the quality of life of every person we serve through a multi-disciplinary approach, by providing a culture of collaboration where medical and rehabilitation experts work together synergistically to help individuals recover and thrive.
Results: Each year, Casa Colina provides services to more than 10,700 individuals. With its extensive continuum of care, Casa Colina is the only non-profit, free standing, independent rehabilitation hospital in California.
Target demographics: Individuals who have sustained catastrophic injuries such as brain and spinal cord injury, stroke and amputations; or other conditions leading to short and long term disability
Direct beneficiaries per year: 10,700 individuals with disabling conditions. Last year, Casa Colina provided more than $750,000 of free and subsidized direct care to persons who are uninsured/underinsured and/or low income.
Geographic areas served: Southern California
Programs: Medical and rehabilitation services in inpatient and outpatient settings, which include Casa Colina Hospital (an acute 68-bed facility) and a continuum of ancillary facilities including an Outpatient Center with orthopedic, neurological and aquatic therapy gyms; an indoor and outdoor sports medicine facility; hand therapy, vestibular and balance centers; a Transitional Living Center that offers a community re-entry program for adults with neurological conditions; a Diagnostic Imaging Center; a Children's Services Center for children up to the age of 16 with developmental disabilities, and other rehabilitation needs and residential and community services. In early 2015, Casa Colina will add a 31-Bed Medical Surgical Wing to our continuum, giving an estimated 1,400 local residents an opportunity to access specialized surgeries and acute medical care in their own communities.
