Mission: A child advocacy center established to provide a comprehensive, multidisciplinary team response to suspected or reported cases of child abuse.
Programs: Forensic interviews are provided to at least 8 counties throughout the region. The forensic interview is an investigative recorded interview provided in a child friendly setting in cooperation with department of social services and law enforcement used to help determine victimization. Care house interviewers are master's level trained therapist and interviewers who partcipate in multiple peer review opportunities utilizing the latest avaiable research. Interviewers coordinate with members of the multi-disciplinary team to help facilitate successful prosecution of cases. Care house interviewers also provide testimony in criminal and family court. Counseling - care house provides evidence based therapeutic treatment to children and familes affected by child abuse. Care house therapist are licensed in the state of south carolina and have received premier training in trauma focused cognitive behavioral therapy and parent child interaction therapy. Counselors are available to provide expert testimony in criminal and family court.
