Mission: After the tragic murder of 5 Dallas area officers on July 7, 2016, we were introduced to the Brotherhood when the existing chapters sent over 75 officers to the funerals of our fallen brothers. After we personally felt the impact of their mission, we felt strongly the call to serve other departments and families of fallen officers in the same manner. As a result, the Dallas chapter of Brotherhood for the Fallen was started in the summer of 2017. Mission The Brotherhood’s main mission is presence. We simply wish to be present for the family and department of the fallen officer in their time of grief. Therefore, our primary mission is to send at least two uniformed Dallas police officers to the funerals of police officers killed by felonious act across the nation. Brotherhood for the Fallen will organize and pay for the officers travel arrangements. We will also provide a financial gift to the family of the fallen officer.
Results: We have reached more state then planned for the year of 2018, without continuing funding from people out there who support this cause we can not fund 2019, our fundraisers or events! We have touched 50 families coast to coast with monetary donations, emotional support, and to show the families of the Fallen brothers and sisters in blue that we in Dallas support our nations office as our own. When we lose one we feel it. Over 20,000 in monetary donations we given to families in 2018.
Target demographics: The families of the Fallen men and women who protect and serve our nation
Direct beneficiaries per year: over 50 families
Geographic areas served: Dallas, But travel to our fallen officers across the nation
Programs: monetary funding for their family to use as they see fit, medical, mental, counseling. We also provide support from our local Dallas police Department to our fellow officers across the nation. Together we stand strong, together we have lost a fellow comrade, Together we have lost family.
