As a foster family for over 5 years and 26 total fosters, the president, put my own dogs at risk with heartworm. After finding out our foster was HW+ two weeks after his neuter from another foster, there was no apology and no offer to pay for the vet bill. After that, communication pretty much stopped. She never once checked on our foster during his horrendous treatment. After 2 potential adopters reached out to me about him, we found out that the adoption coordinator and the president stopped communication with them. When I called her out for it, she sent her two minions to pick up our foster. She didn't have the guts to do it herself. Now, for the inside information, the president pulls too many dogs without the guarantee of a foster placement. I've seen 20+ dogs from one transport without a place to go. She then begs FB for fosters. She keeps the pups in transport kennels for too many hours while she tries to rotate dogs. Usually, they're covered in feces and urine. This rescue has been investigated many times by authorities and was banned at one point from pulling dogs at certain shelters in Texas and New Mexico. We will never foster, provide endorsement, donate, etc. to this rescue. It needs to be shut down or turned over to someone who wants to really help.
We have adopted three boxers through Idaho Boxer Lovers Rescue since September of last year. We're touched by Debbie and Krystle's dedication to the cause and the efforts they place every step of the way. Following the Facebook closely made us realize how overwhelmed they must be with all the work they do. We never knew how many boxers're in need nor how often and how far Debbie travels to rescue them.
Thank goodness for the foster parents like the Burks and the volunteers!
We've followed them going through surgery after surgeries for even ONE boxer and driving over 3000 miles to give many boxers from neighboring states.
Rescuing them, taking care of them, matching them to the best homes possible...
We don't believe they put any limits when it comes to rescuing Boxers.
Just wanted to express how we appreciate what they do for those puppies dereserving a second chance.
It’s really a shame that this organization has no organizational skills whatsoever ever My wife and I would make great candidates for a boxer rescue as we have had a boxer rescue before and it was a loving friendship for 10 years. We submitted an application two weeks ago and when we log in to check status, it still says in step one over 14 days later. I know this is a volunteer organization but when you have people like us that would make good boxer parents, and not even make contact is unforgivable when there are good people wanting to make a positive impact for these lovely dogs
This rescue is always willing to go above and beyond for the sake of the dog. They will drive thousands of miles to make sure every dog is saved. People spend countless hours taking care of, feeding, training and loving these dogs. There is so much time taken to protect these cute wiggle butts.

I just joined this rescue to foster the rescues. And I am amazed at all the hard work that goes on behind the scenes. This rescue cares so much for every animal and they are so detailed down to the bottom line to make sure it’s a positive experience but mostly to make sure these dogs are very well taken care of. These rescues are very lucky to have this group in their corner.

One of the best reacues Ive ever encountered. They are so passionate about saving the lives of every Boxer and ensuring they go to the most loving homes for a worthwhile second chance. The volunteers are AMAZING, and their hard work shines through with every dog they save. I first started following this rescue on Facebook about 6 years ago. I then became a foster. My foster was hours away from being euthanized at a high killer shelter in Utah. The poor boy was scared out of his mind. Long story short I'm a foster fail twice. The second time is a tiny boxer girl who was severely malnourished. She weighed just 31 pounds when the rescue pulled her. She's gained 13 pounds so far with a few more to go bshes come a long way with trusting people again. Without this rescue she would have died. The rescue accepts owner surrenders as well as pulling from shelters. They give the dogs a second chance at a forever home. Without them many dogs would die.
I have been volunteering with this rescue for over three years now as a foster and they have saved and re-homed close to 400 boxers in that time!
I have had the great pleasure of being affiliated with this Rescue for a year and a half. The people I have met in Boxer Lovers Rescue are devoted to the boxer breed. But they are also devoted to the families that have adopted and are going to adopt. This rescue has integrity like none other. I have seen the many sacrifices all involved make for this rescue; all done with the deepest love! This confirms to me, that I will be with this Rescue for many years to come

I adopted the love of my through through Boxer Lovers Rescue. He had a rough 4 years before being rescued. He was completely malnourished and had a tumor the size of a cantaloupe on his leg. He was also heartworm positive. His foster fixed him up, got him healthy and loved him. I adopted him 16 months later. His foster, at this point, did not want to let him go and had an extremely hard time. But, she did and it made the biggest difference in my family who had lost a loyal companion several months earlier. Rex, is the highlight of our home. We dote on him. My kids adore him, although he is a Mama's boy! Boxer Lovers Rescue is an amazing group of volunteers that works tirelessly to save boxers in need. I have seen the behind the scene work and I am always amazed at the commitment, time, energy and love that these volunteers do day in and day out. I love them and the work they do. I became involved with Boxer Lovers Rescue in February 2018. Not knowing what to expect, I fell in love with the experience, as well as, the people who are a part of the rescue. Everyone is helpful and will voice their opinion on situations that may arise with our boxer fosters or anything else that we have questions about. The time and the energy the volunteers demonstrate is remarkable. And the best part is the feel good stories that are heard when the dogs are adopted into their forever home. It is a tremendous feeling of accomplishment and success.
Boxer Lovers Rescue is a group of volunteers who strive to place misplaced boxers into loving furever homes. They travel great distances to rescue boxers in kill shelters and transport them to safety. Many are ill, injured, or untrusting. Loving foster families will bring these boxers into their homes and nurture them until the time the boxers are ready for their own families.
