As a volunteer in my community I advocate for those who linger in transition without useful or accessible resources. The underserved population, with health, mental health, homelessness, poverty stricken, and other debilitating factors that often are the root of their circumstances, often go without necessary core needs for lack of resources. Benton Franklin community action committee helps to bridge gaps in lacking basic services and assists with access. They advocate and manage programs designed to help the community. Referrals, and program councilors are there to help anyone in need. Minority and impoverished are given opportunity instead of a closed door. Translators are available to assist and case managers assess the needs of each person who enters their doors. They are highly professional and empathetic to the "individual" needs and concerns. I support this organization with pride because they do make the difference in our community!
