It is a special thing to be close enough to see all the ways that the Beacon Rescue Mission touches lives in the community. Please join me to pray for each person who comes in needing help and support.

We were started nearly 30 years ago to provide employment for people in the community and be an outlet where donations could be turned into much needed funds to support the Beacon Rescue Mission.
It is an honor to serve God over the years. Sharing the gospel of Jesus Christ is the most important roll we have as Christians.
Don't understand why any place won't let a employee off work in order for him to go to a funeral (grandmothers) and pay his last respects in a Christian manner

We have donated items to the Beacon for years because we know the money goes to furthering the kingdom and helping those in need.
I'm absolutely in love with this place. It was a beacon to my family and me when we needed its services and it continues to be a Beacon to us as we have grown into our roles as ministers with Christ. We love to see the multi-generational, multi-cultural body of residents and sharing Christ with them.
One year ago , I moved from Maryland to North Carolina. All Plans had changed for me and I could not turn back after traveling 344 miles. The Beacon Rescue Mission welcomed me with open arms. The Beacons mission has blessed my life in many ways. They are friends, listeners and now my extended family. I am grateful that God led me to Beacon and more importantly, I am grateful that The Beacon Rescue Mission exist. I am seen and still till this date I see their hours of dedication, hard work and Godly love to all who are in need. They bless so many lives by donations and ask for nothing from their guest, but to excel and trust Almighty God. I am till this date one who continues to be a Beacon family and friend. I pray they are blessed beyond measure.
I personally know the people who run this organization. They are great people who love the Lord and all people.
Our church financially supports the Beacon Rescue Mission, and we believe they are doing great work. They have a lot of support in their community, too.
They help so many people every week - it is impossible not to be impressed.
The Beacon Rescue Mission is truly a lighthouse. The individuals and families that are served get a hand UP not a hand out. Yes they get a place to stay but there are rules. No drugs or alcohol allowed. Food is provided but they cook their own meals, wash their own dishes and clothes, and clean up after themselves. They have to leave during the day to look for a job. They can get financial advice and even save towards getting their own place to live. The gospel is shared with them and a Bible. Most of the people that come here end up getting a job and their own place to live. They have a real chance to get back on their feet it's up to them what they do with it. I can't say enough good things about the Directors and staff! I helped my church in volunteering to renovate an unfinished space that became their E32 emergency (below freezing) shelter that is used during the cold winter nights so that anyone that needs shelter has a warm place to sleep. I can definitely say that this is a model shelter where the love of Jesus is demonstrated!
I love what the BRM does for the community.
Staying in a mission myself, I know to what extent they do help people.
They are great people.
