Mission: To promote an understanding of and interest in wildlife and the environment that supports it, and to further the cause of conservation of all natural resources.
Programs: Conservation - the society provides various programs to further the conservation effort and a better understanding of wildlife and the environment. The society also donates to various wildlife organizations to further the conservation effort. Education - the society provides scholarships to the public and conducts other programs to further the public's understanding of the environmental and wildlife concerns. It donates to other organizations including local libraries to further the environmental and wildlife concerns. Donations - the society makes contributions to various organizations involved in the preservatipons of wildlife, particular;y birds, and conservation, but also donates to further understanding of the environment. Other activities - the society furnishes to members and others a monthly newsletter announcing activities, events and meeting. It also expends funds for other programs involved with conservation and environmental concerns. A majority of these funds are used to produce and mail the monthl. Y newsletter, the everglades kite.
