I recently took online introductory training for Attitudinal Healing. I was so excited to be able to do this from my home in Hawaii and not have to travel to California to take part. Not only was the facilitator who lives on "big Island" Hawai'i a skilled trainer but also a gentle, accepting spirit who helped all of us in the group understand the principles of attitudinal healing and showing us how we can choose to remove the blocks to love, happiness and peace. It was truly miraculous how I was randomly put into break out groups where the other students had similar experiences to me or I had an experience with which they are currently trying to resolve. This is the beauty of the belief that it is not people or experiences outside of ourselves that cause us to be upset. Rather, it is our thoughts, attitudes, and judgments about them that cause us distress. Even more than before I have been able to internalize this truth and experience more love in my life and can now remember easily to choose once again when I find myself spinning into any sort of upset or judgment toward others but also when I fuel my own inner critic.
I was struggling trying to cope with my best friend's diagnoses that basically meant
death. He heard about the Center, and began to attend the group that was for people who had a life-threatening diagnosis.. He told me about the caregivers/friends group that was offered and I started attending weekly. The group enabled me to be a better support person/friend. The small staff were supportive and loving, and the volunteers were committed to providing understanding and care. I was with people who could and did talk about illness, suffering and death in a way that was normal, loving and supportive. It is also important to note that there was no charge for their services - nothing at all. Donations were appreciated but never ever requested. What began as a small local agency has expanded to be world-wide.
I ended up being a volunteer, and eventually was put on staff, where I remained until I retired. The currency was and is still love and respect that is given and received.
It was 2004 when I started attending one circle group of AH in Monterrey México. That year was difficult for me; I lost my job, my wife’s father died, my daughter got married and moved to a foreign country.
Knowing and living the 12 Principles of AH, was very helpful to recover my peace. For me this amazing tool have been a wonderful way to live my life according to my believes and my way o living.
In 2005 I became a facilitator of a Circle group and in 2006 my wife and I got in charge of developing AH in Monterrey, México. Now days we have 6 centers and 10 circle groups and have provided assistance to develop AH circle groups in other cities of México.

This amazing life path of Attiudinal Healing is the ultimate avenue to/of freedom. As I have again and again shifted from fear to love in every area of my life I experience an elevated way to view the situations and circumstances that life presents from a higher more expanded level of awareness. I am so grateful to AH for bringing me the peace I am able to choose in each moment. As an ordained Unity minister, I have facilated AH groups in every spiritual commUNITY I have had the honor to serve since 1994 I continue to teach what I want to learn...deepen what I've been given to share.
The centers for attitudinal healing saved my life and the lives of many others around me. “Other people don’t have to change for us to experience peace” is so timeless and relevant to today, more so now, than any other time in human history. The centers for attitudinal healing should be regarded as a world heritage first and non - profit second!
I had the honor and privilege of working with Dr. Jerry Jampolsky and his team from the Attitudinal Healing International on establishing the first Attitudinal Healing Center in a Medical Center several years ago. That was at Castle Medical Center located in Kailua, Hawaii. We conducted community Attitudinal Healing lectures, seminars, and conferences. Also weekly Attitudinal Healing support groups with medical center patients and the community that the medical center. I was the Director of the Center and the Director of Wellness & Lifestyle Medicine at Castle Medical Center at that time. We called the center the Castle Center for Attitudinal Healing which was an integral part of the programs we offered through our Wellness & Lifestyle Medicine Center. Attitudinal Healing offered a critical dimension at that time in offering a program and service for our patients and community in the field of Mind-Body Medicine. Many of the participants who attend our programs and Attitudinal Health weekly support groups, said that making the concepts of Attitudinal Healing a part of their life and lifestyle, greatly changed their life. It helped them to have "peace of mind". It helped them tremendously in controlling their stress and helped in dealing with life challenges that they faced in dealing with difficult relationships with other people. For many it helped them to learn forgiveness which lifted a huge burden off their emotions and mental state, for some, that they struggled with all their life. The concept that forgiveness is the, as Attitudinal Healing teaches, "the greatest healer of all", really became true in their life. We had many participants in our Attitudinal Healing work, tell us that not only did it improve their mental health and attitudes toward life, giving them more energy and peace of mind, but it also contributed to their physical health and wellbeing. During the time I served at Castle Medical Center, Attitudinal Healing played an important part of our Lifestyle Medicine programs. I am grateful to Dr. Jampolsky, his wife Diane, and the entire Attitudinal Healing International staff that worked with me and my Castle Medical Center staff in helping to establish our center and program.

I attended the Center for Attitudinal Healing in Tiberon California in the early 90's to become a facilitator and leader in Attitudinal Healing. This was after I after I met with Dr. Jerry Jampolsky, author of “Love is Letting Go of Fear” who presented at a workshop in Edmonton, Alberta Canada. I asked him to go to the hospital to help me with my friend, Dr. Vincent Visconti who’s 3 year old daughter had been in a tragic car accident. She had become completely paralyzed and her parents were devastated. Jerry has a very gentle way of helping people be okay no matter what the situation is. I believe attitudinal healing is the single most powerful tool we have in the world to heal our planet. In fact, after going through the program, which was to understand and integrate the 12 principles of attitudinal healing, I began to embrace these principles into my everyday life. What unfolded for me was a journey of creativity which included contacting Jack Canfield and Mark Victor Hansen to co-author “Chicken Soup for the Soul, Children with Special Needs” to which Jerry wrote the foreword (see attached). Following this book I started the KEEN Education Foundation and Autism Today. One is a non-profit and the other a for profit to help in the special needs community. I have authored and co-authored over 15 books, hosted 70 conferences and continue to help shifting attitudes as much as I can. This work began as a result of the path that the center started me down. I believe that attitudes, above anything else, are the one thing that can shift the world from the inside out. If each person could embrace the twelve principles of attitudinal healing the world would be a much better place. The next venture I am embarking on with my fiancé is to write a book entitled “Living to Forgive” which is all about the principles of attitudinal healing and the power of forgiveness. At the age of 95, Jerry has also written a foreword for this book too. To forgive is like untying the knots around our hearts and souls that have us all so tightly bound. I believe The Center of Attitudinal Healing is the most wonderful charity of all because it can positively affect each and every charity on the planet in a unique and wonderful way.
The Twelve Principles of Attitudinal Healing are:
1. The Essence Of Our Being Is Love
2. Health Is Inner Peace, Healing Is Letting Go Of Fear
3. Giving And Receiving Are The Same
4. We Can Let Go Of The Past And Of The Future
5. Now Is The Only Time There Is And Each Instant Is For Giving
6. We Can Learn To Love Ourselves And Others By Forgiving Rather Than Judging
7. We Can Become Love Finders Rather Than Fault-Finders
8. We Can Choose And Direct Ourselves To Be Peaceful Inside Regardless Of What Is Happening Outside
9. We Are Students And Teachers To Each Other
10. We Can Focus On The Whole Of Life Rather Than The Fragments
11. Since Love Is Eternal, Death Need Not Be Viewed As Fearful
12. We Can Always Perceive Others As Either Loving Or Fearful And Extending A Call Of Help For Love
Jerry’s Testimonial from Chicken Soup for the Soul, Children with Special Needs
This is truly a remarkably helpful book not only for parents and others who relate to children of special needs but for all parents . The stories are filled with honesty, vulnerability, humor and hope. The connective tissue in the stories is the emphases on seeing the positive gifts these children give to us.
Many of the stories are from parents of autistic kids. My first two years in training as a child psychiatrist was working with autistic children and their families. I often look back at that treasured experience and see those children and their families as being my most important teachers.
So often these parents feel a deeps sense of frustration, guilt, and disappointment because their child is so different and there seems to be a lack of adequate feed- back of affection and ability to communicate in words.
These stories exemplify that as many of these parents discovered, when one concentrates on unconditional love, compassion and infinite patience the gifts of the child being a teacher of love becomes more obvious.
Rather than just concentrating on the problems, these parent’s stories focus on the solution which they find is UNCONDITIONAL LOVE. Or another way of putting it they concentrate on contents of their child’s heart rather than just on the behavior. They see their kids as master teachers of patience.
In our work in the Centers for Attitudinal Healing around the world, we find the following principles most helpful. We can at any moment be a love finder rather than a fault finder, we can be a love giver rather than a love seeker, and we can learn to see our children and everyone else as a teacher of love. We also learn how important it is to let go of the many measuring sticks we use on our children and ourselves. I do not think it is too simple to say one of the main functions of a parent is to continually see the Light in our children’s hearts.
Mother Teresa once told my wife, Diane, and myself that the one mother that impressed her the most was in Argentina and this mother named her new born infant, Professor of Love. So no matter what age of her child, she would always remember that her child was a Professor of love, a teacher of love. Wouldn’t it be a wonderful world if each of us would interact with our kids, not matter what their behavior is, as a Professor of Love.
Often times there is a temptation to see our kids as having a negative affliction which at times may be falsely perceived as a burden.
The parents in these stories have done a fantastic and an amazing job at shifting their attitudes, finding inner peace rather than conflict and frustration and most importantly, they have learned to experience the beauty of the inner heart and soul of their kids.
In life too often many of us concentrate on the frame of a painting, rather than the contents. Sometimes our child’s behavior seems like the frame of a painting and it is always our challenge to see and experience the hearts of our children.
The stories in this book are powerful, heartrending stories that will most certainly inspire hope by discovering what a treasure our children are when we remember to embrace the magnificent awesome beauty of the hearts of our children. These stories also reflect the importance of living in the present and counting our blessings. They remind us of the power of love and the importance of seeing our hearts joined as one.
I would like to remind you, the reader, and myself as well, about the often quoted statement that “ there is a pot of gold at the end of the rainbow”.
I like to think that our children are the rainbow and the pot of gold all in one……and that so are we.
HAPPY READING!

Living to Forgive
The 12-step program for Love
Foreword, Gerald Jampolsky, MD
Many people wonder what true forgiveness is, particularly in the context of the teaching of the principles of attitudinal healing. It means to correct our own misperception that someone else has caused the harm we are feeling. It doesn’t mean tolerating a behavior that we don’t like in others or assuming we are better than someone else., Our only function as we practice, and I do mean practice forgiveness, is to consistently and constantly live in a consciousness of choosing to forgive, releasing any attachment to grievances in our hearts, no matter what the circumstance. By doing so, we release the heaviness we associate with that person or event and are able to move forward in our lives. You see, we truly are all one, and the more we see separation, the more difficult it becomes to forgive. When we finally see the simplicity and unity in humankind and that we are all, at our core, one, it becomes simple. To live in complete love is living to forgive.
I met Karen Simmons many years ago when I was part of a presentation with Wayne Dyer and Marianne Williamson. She asked me to visit a doctor friend of hers whose three-year-old daughter had been in a catastrophic car accident leaving her completely paralyzed. Karen told me how this occurrence took place on one of her son’s birthdays in 1992. She went on to explain that she felt joyful and that I happened to be in town during this traumatic event, especially considering the work I specialize in around sick and dying children. That day, I said, “Karen, we need to look at coincidences as God’s way of remaining anonymous”. The fact that I was in town at that very moment helped her friend’s family heal and opened up a place in Karen’s heart that led her down the path that she is on now.
When Karen told me she was writing this book, I was elated as she explained she wanted to bring new hope and light to the new generation, having seven children herself, while rekindling the light I sparked in her so many years ago. I have seen the work that Karen has done over the years, especially in the autism and special needs community, and I am honored to contribute this foreword. In fact, I introduced her to one of my very dear friends, Barry Neil Kaufman who founded “The Son-Rise Program”, an exemplary trail blazing program in the field of autism. Many, many families have been helped through these teachings and children helped as a result. Also, I wrote the foreword to her very first autism book, “Little Rainman, Autism Through the Eyes of a Child” She later became an Attitudinal Healer and Trainer through our center in Tiburon, California. Once again, we all learn that we truly are all students and teachers to each other.
At my present age of 95, which is a very contemplative time of my life, I reflect in appreciation of life itself -- the little children’s laughter as they play and giggle in the ocean waves, the breath-taking sunsets in Hawaii, my beautiful wife, Diane as well as my wonderful family.
We had a wonderful and inspirational experience at the CAH in 1993. The Center was one of light and live. We have followed the teachings in all the years since the retreat.
I have been very blessed to read books and take courses of AHI over the past 5 years. It certainly has changed my outlook to life and since then have actively participated in providing the AHI support globally in Dubai and Melbourne. The work of AHI team is exceptional with pure love and understanding across the globe. We feel so grateful for this platform to learn and be there for each other. I enjoy linking others to the website and provide support when required. Thank you Drs Jerry Jampolsky, Diane Cirincione, Trish Ellis, Andrea and AHI Global team. Congratulations for an amazing years and bringing Peace Love Bliss to us ALL. Blessings :)
My name is Beatriz Ribas, I’m a life coach therapist and I gave the 12 steps Attitudinal Healing course in Rio de Janeiro/Brazil for almost 10 years at a spiritual institution, non profit too Casa de Padre Pio. It was a rich and magic experience to see during this 12 weeks the improvement and transformation of that people in front of me! The groups were about 10/12 people, which was my choice, easier to create a strong bond of trust and love among them. Recently I added some other techniques to my groups/personal sessions although my work still is based on the Attitudinal Healing principles. Gratitude!!!
To put it simply, the AH principles and the seminal book of Dr. Jerry Jampolsky. "Love is letting go of fear" saved my life.
Back in the early 2000, i had lost my vigor for living due to depression coming from multiple difficulties and crisis . In my country it is not easy to receive emotional support from people out of your family circle and even within the family.
its often so hard to find a safe space to voice out how you feel genuinely. So most often even as one is dying inside, you really just have to pretend that all is well.
When you don't have biological parents to support you, its very easy to die of depression because it is not in our culture that people should tell their suffering to "outsiders" since it will be used t insult them in public. That was where i found myself in the early 2000. Meeting AH international was my saving grace and i will always be grateful for unconditional love and the empathic listening i received from members of this organization around the world. Today my chief aim and what keeps me happy is giving back this love i received and continue to receive from the AHI family.
I pray that the work of AHI one day be effectively used by all in Africa and especially in Cameroon.
Thanks you my AHI family.

As President of Heartlight Center for Inner Peace, I have worked with and been supported by Attitudinal Healing International since our beginnings in 2010. It is an amazing organization that "walks the talk" of the Principles of Attitudinal Healing in all it's interactions with all people and AH centers around the world. It provides a variety of ways to learn about and share the principles, which are based on love, non-judgement and forgiveness, and which are powerful tools to enable individuals to experience life in a more peaceful, gentle, joyful way.
In the beginning of our journey with AHI, we needed and received a lot of support as we explored how our organization could best bring Attitudinal Healing to our community. We were ALWAYS welcome to reach out to them, and we were guided in a way that was non-judgemental and a reminder that we had the best answers for us. Now that we are well-established and greatly appreciated by our participants, AHI continues to be a resource for us and a way for us to help and be connected to others around the world.
Attitudinal healing has changed my life. I see life through new eyes and with a new attitude. Love rather than fear. Forgiveness always.
Attitudinal Healing International has spawned a worldwide movement focusing on teaching only love as a means to live in this world. I have been a part of this organization since 2011 and have started a center in St. Louis based on the principles it espouses. This organization changes lives, through positive thinking and action. It has been such a gift to all in my community that have received the training and application in daily life.
AH change my life complete. Now I can forgive and at the same time take my own responsability.
I learned to live in the present. Sometimes very hard but worth trying over and over again.
Two years ago I was often at loggerheads with my mother and I cried out to an online friend from the USA I met on WordPress. She talked to me about Attitudinal healing and fortunately my country Cameroon has a center. She put me in contact with the founder and the rest is history. No more loggerheads with my mother or pretty much anyone, I have the power to choose. I completed the training as a facilitator last year and I am so grateful to AHI. I created my own association last where I work with victims of abuse especially sexual abuse and rape, and I use the AH principles with them. The kids especially love them. I don't hesitate to talk about AH wherever I am invited or where I have the opportunity to do so.
I took an Attitudinal Healing workshop with them. We were participants from all around the world. I was impressed with their use of technology to facilitate communication. It was a meaningful experience to be able to participate in small groups as part of the workshop, all remotely, sharing experiences with people in Australia, Hawaii, without leaving my own office in New York City.
Through their website, I was able to find information about this workshop and also share the existence of other centers in Buenos Aires, where I have friends and colleagues who would like to know more about Attitudinal Healing.
Everyone I reached out who was connected to this website, shared the same positive attitude and kindness, consistent with the values expressed on the site.
I found AHI through a book by Dr. Jampolsky. It had many healing suggestions, along with true stories of both adults and children who had been helped greatly, and in some instances cured, by applying the free, AHI principles.
I started to use a couple of the suggested attitude/outlook changes in my daily life. I experienced much more peace and calm, and better smoother work flow, when I stopped being a fault finder and became a live finder, or, just more kind.
I am grateful that there are more steps & principles, for free, that I can integrate into my life
