Mission: Aspen Valley Land Trust protects the special places and open spaces of the Roaring Fork and Colorado River valleys for wildlife, agriculture, and community, forever.
Results: With community support over the past 55 years, AVLT has protected 44,000 acres of open space, 103 miles of riverfront, and 10 public parks. We have worked with seven schools and thousands of students through Chapin Wright Marble Basecamp and Coffman Ranch. In 2021, we completed a Strategic Conservation Plan that will help this community protect another 40,000 acres in the next decade.

Direct beneficiaries per year: conserve 240 acres in Garfield Creek, acquire and protect the 141-acre historic Coffman Ranch, monitor 180 properties in person, connect more students than ever to Chapin Wright Marble Basecamp, host 4 community events and six volunteer days
