My family and I really appreciate the hygiene kits and t-shirts that you donated to us. Thanks for looking out for us vets.
My grandma is a veteran and she was in need of a wheelchair. My grandpa recently passed and I'm the only grandchild living in the same city as grandma. I stumbled on the Armed Forces Chamber's webpage and cold-called them not knowing anyone there. I told them about my grandma's dilemma and how no other organization would help. They took the time to listen and the very next day called me and told me to pick up a brand new wheelchair still in the box. This group is the real deal and the workers are friendly and do care about veterans. FIVE STARS. THUMBS UP. REAL HEROES.
I'm a disabled Vietnam veteran and have limited income. Most times I can't travel to North Las Vegas to visit the VA Hospital. And I don't have a regular civilian private doctor. I heard about the Community Health Fair being put on by the Armed Forces Chamber and saved the date. I attended and had a great time. For no cost to me, I had my eyes checked, ears checked, cholesterol checked, blood pressure checked and even had a massage. All this at no cost to me. Thanks for putting on this event and being a big help to me. I appreciate the Armed Forces Chamber and all that they do in the community.
Last holiday season, I lost my job and had no money saved. To top it off, my car broke down. It's just my two teen boys and I, a single mom. Originally I'm from back East and so are all my relatives. So, I'm all alone in Las Vegas and don't have any friends. I visited Macaroni Kids' website and saw an announcement about the Armed Forces Chamber's Holiday Toy Giveaway. I immediately signed up and crossed my fingers that I would be gifted some decent gifts to give my teens because I didn't have any money to buy gifts. I attended the event and the people from the Armed Forces Chamber were so nice and friendly. They made me feel good, supported and encouraged. Not only did I receive several expensive and impressive gifts for my teens but I even made friends with another single mom who was there receiving gifts also. My Christmas, my boys Christmas, was saved thanks to the generosity of the Armed Forces Chamber. This group rocks and they are making a positive difference in the community. Thanks again!
On behalf of the Nevada Women's Business Center, we highly recommend the Armed Forces Chamber of Commerce (AFCC) as a premier nonprofit organization in the Las Vegas community. As one of our core resource partners, the AFCC provides vital support, small business and workforce development for veterans and military families. We have consistently collaborated with the AFCC for small business events, both online and in-person, for the last 5 years. AFCC Founder, Andre' Haynes and the Director of Operations, Destiny Beavers, are a dynamic duo that diligently serves our veteran-owned businesses with integrity and innovation. I highly recommend this nonprofit organization for entrepreneurial veterans and military families and identify the AFCC as a "top-rated nonprofit" organization. Thank you, Kathleen Taylor - Nevada Women's Business Center.
I recommend the Armed Forces Chamber Community Development Corporation for the positive impact it makes in our local Las Vegas community. From food banks for the holidays, trunk or treat for Halloween, to health fairs for Veterans, the Armed Forces Chamber is on the ground making a difference in Las Vegas everyday. And it does this without costly staff or overhead. Your contribution dollars are going to help military families in the Las Vegas metro area.
The Armed Forces Chamber is without a doubt the most user-friendly and community enhancing organization I deal with here in Las Vegas. Andre Haynes has always made himself available for me and to help me develop my Veteran owned small business. I would recommend his services and his organization to anyone in need of building a business, Veteran assistance, volunteer work etc. Great organization with a great leader sitting at the helm.
I recommend and commend the Armed Forces Chamber & Armed Forces Pantry Program. I'm a proud volunteer and have seen first hand the good that this chamber and non-profit have accomplished. I've seen the smiles and have heard the many thanks from the recipients of the many drives, give aways, contributions the Armed Forces Chamber has provided over the past few years. This is an important non-profit for so many *FIVE STARS*
In 2019, the Armed Forces Chamber and Sleep Well Las Vegas donated free furniture valued at $4,000 to a Navy veteran on the Navy's birthday as a way to say thank you for your service and happy birthday. The Armed Forces Chamber is the only Chamber of Commerce in the state of Nevada to regularly donate furniture to deserving veterans. 8 News Now captured the moment when the veteran received the furniture and interviewed the veteran plus Commander of the Armed Forces Chamber.
