Do not use this place if you love your animal. I wouldn't even bring a feral cat here. Place is filthy and have nothing but the uneducated working here. Do not waste your time. Pay a little more and put your pet in the hands of someone who is educated and cares.
I have a mama cat who weened 8 kittens after took to my vet she was weak .got meds. she gained weight got better..took in through mcas to fix at aaa..didnt get her back for 5 days. She was very thin..drenched under a very thick blanket in their drop off van .she had diarrhea from day one for yrs. After that.took to vets for yrs. After never got well..she got sick at aaa.believe gonerria?btw she had a 3 inch high knots where she was spayed..looked like a big outie belly button..they do hackjobs on ferals. They feel no one cares about ferals as thay would their pets..but they are wrong..NOW I have to put the puppy pads away and say goodbye to a sweet blk mama cat..time to stop her agony. do not trust this place fixing or bringing pets here..they will get sick or be in more pain than when entered
I have 2 pitbulls, one have to have surgery 2 years ago, some kind of cancer. (My eldest dog). Last year her puppy had to have surgery, a different cancer. Now, this year the mama has another cancer. She may need to have surgery. To find out what is the problem. I have asked for the food to change and stop bringing your hey, or hey/wheat mix. But I'm being ignored. Your agent is doing what she wants. This is not this womans house nor home. Now I'm going to find a formal complaint form, and then I'm going to inform all the other pet owners. Those who have a dog that is getting sick or those whom have died, under this womans supposed help or care.
Review from Guidestar
Great Mission. Toxic Culture.
Strong Bullying Culture.
The organization helps pet owners by providing shots and services for their pets at reasonable costs.
Loved helping the animals but you will start to feel compassion fatigue very quickly here. Very destructive environment for the mostly compassionate, well intentioned people who have brought AAAR's mission to fruition here over the years. Horrible turnover rate.
Some have questioned whether some employees belong anywhere near the animals. Complaints of management being rarely seen and behind the scenes cleanliness. The internal culture hasn't played out publicly too much. It has on more of a grass roots level with a number of rescue groups who no longer use AAAR's services, at least at the Warren location.
Laissez Faire Leadership: Management is overly "hands off" and let's things take a course of their own, with minimal interference. Staff members are expected to solve problems on their own. Leadership does not care about staff which goes beyond beyond just being unappreciated. Little regard for working conditions and well being of staff.
Role Conflict, Role Ambiguity: It's often unclear who is in charge in a given area of the organization, for example, who the head vet tech is. This has created confusion, stress and conflict between co-workers. Aggressive "Know It All" employees, with no management authority will direct, correct, and criticize their peers, sometimes quite harshly. Some co-workers are downright abusive. This creates considerable psychological distress for the employees who are the victims of such behavior and contributed to a very prevalent bullying culture.
Bullying and aggression are serious enough to be considered a health and safety concern.
Lack of Structure: Few employee conduct policies. No employee handbook. No performance review process. Operational policies change often enough and without adequate communication. Most employee concerns are ignored even when about health and safety. In 2019, serious safety concerns that were brought to management's attention were not addressed until someone filed a formal complaint with OSHA.

Favoritism: A combination of intentional favoritism and/or management indifference. It has fueled conflicts, and created an unlevel playing field that has negatively impacted morale and the organizational culture. The conduct of said favorites is often bullying and aggression, which management is well aware of. Management's indifference to this behavior is a major factor in creating a Strong Bullying Culture.
I give them three stars overall only because of the good they do for animals. The way they treat people is more like zero stars.
