Mission: Providing aftercare for ex-arizona racehorses
Programs: Through aftercare, we rehabilitate and retrain horses retired directly from the racetrack; those that are abandoned or abused. During 2014 we took in 6 horses and and placed 4 into adoptive homes. Our current herd is 16 horses ranging from age 3-22. Since our inception in july 2011, we have rescued 39 horses, 37 ex-racehorses and 2 colts.
we are a 100% volunteer organization, all services equine related including fosters and administrative are provided by volunteers. For the year 2014 we logged a total of 11,331 hours: equine care 8,713; 200 special events; and 2,418 adminstrative. Fosters receive funds for equine feed and medical care - not services
