Mission: The Advocacy Center empowers individuals with disabilities and their families to advocate for themselves and realize their personal goals. Together we build strong, inclusive communities by increasing the ability of community members to support and value all individuals.
Geographic areas served: All of New York State except for the 5 boroughs of NYC
Programs: Family support service program - assists developmentally disabled individuals and their families with accessing information and services to help live a productive life. (approximately 727 clients served)
parent information and training center - provides informational support to parents of developmentally disabled individuals in upstate new york (approximately 18,196 clients served)
medicaid service coordination - coordinate services for individuals with developmental disabilities (approximately 174 clients served)
information and referral program-provides information to clients. Other programs including town hall training and various workshops.
