AFL is one of my favorite nonprofits. They provide free fitness classes and one on one training for people with disabilities. It is something that is desperately needed for the community. AFL has helped motivate me to workout, learn new exercises, and has helped me gain confidence by improving my mental health. I am so thankful to be involved with AFL.

I have seen what Adaptive Fitness Legion has done to my family. They are an excellent trainers and motivators. It was a privilege to meet Devon Palermo and Joanna Bonilla.

Listening to their story starting this organization was simply amazing and humbling. I wish them all the best and can't wait to hear more great reviews. Keep up the good work and fight the good fight! - Chee Chaw

As a trainer at DPI Adaptive Fitness, I have had the pleasure and privilege of working with an AFL scholarship awardee. At the conclusion of her 12 awarded sessions, this client demonstrated noticeable improvements in functional strength and walking endurance, and reported improved confidence during her daily activities, along with an improved outlook and more hopeful attitude about her life. None of this would have been possible without AFL's generous scholarship opportunity!

AFL is a young, but incredibly strong organization that is truly making an impact in the local and virtual communities by providing exciting, challenging fitness programs while creating a community for the individuals who benefit from adaptive fitness! As a person with a spinal cord injury and wheelchair user, I have found a wonderful fitness home with AFL and I am never disappointed by the diversity of fitness classes and the challenge that is brought through each new class! The Board is truly dedicated to building more for the disability community and I am so thankful to have found this amazing nonprofit. You can truly SEE the change they are making in the community!

This organization provides services to people with physical disabilities. The recipients would not be able to afford services without scholarships and free classes. The population that is serviced by this scholarship are provided 1 on 1 training with a specialist in Adaptive physical training. The nonprofit has created events which included not only the clients but invitations to the community. The nonprofit operates with the utmost integrity.

The Adaptive Fitness Legion has been instrumental in my son’s ongoing recovery from a spinal cord stroke. The free and low cost programming has helped my son regain strength in his legs, hands, and arms. He has also improved his balance and walking. The 12 session personal trainer award that the AFL gave my son helped my son recover from his recent nerve transfers surgery in his hands and arm. My son was able to return to school after he completed the 12 training sessions and lift his back pack. I am extremely happy and grateful that the AFL exists and for the work they do.
