Mission: This organization is dedicated to collecting, storing, and distributing, high-quality cord blood units for clinical transplantation and medical research. The organization has been certified as a unique regional component in the national network of cord blood banks promoted by the federal government's health resources services administration to provide an adequate supply of high-quality hematopoietic stem cells.
Programs: The foundation has been established to harvest, process, and utilize umbilical cord blood ("ucb") stem cells for clinical transplantation, medical research, and distribution, and to provide education to physicians and the public at large on advances in the utilization of ucb-derived stem cells for the treatment of cancer and other diseases.
