Mission: The centre of redemption is an empowerment organization focusing on prevention, advocacy, and restoration to assist victims of commercial sexual exploitation in recovering ownership of their lives.
Programs: A safe places 12-bed emergency shelter opened in 2017 (first one on the east coast), offering survivors of commercial sexual exploitation and human trafficking free housing for up to ninety days in a safe, secure location, monitored 24/7 by trained staff members. During this housing phase, survivors will benefit from the full range of our support services (outreach center & complete case management), and also have the opportunity to apply for our transitional housing facility. With this program expansion, our support staff doubled in size. We hired 1 new residential program manager and 4 new residential support staff members. In 2017, a safe place provided on-going support services to 190 victims of commercial sexual exploitation and domestic trafficking.
