This is one of the best new non-profits out there. They have accomplished more for the county animals and people in the short time they have become a non-profit, than many people over the years have not been able to accomplish. They were instrumental in getting the breed ban abolished in our county, started the official TNR (Trap, Neuter, Return) county program, which kept our county shelter from having to kill thousands of dumped and feral cats because that was the previous policy. They single-handedly brought low cost spay and neuter options into our county, of which we previously had none. In order to help our citizens keep their pets when times are hard, they started a pet food pantry which, for no cost to the person, will provide them with much needed food for their pets, and keep them from being turned into the county shelter due to lack of funds for food. They pull many young kittens dumped at our shelter and give them the best chance at life. They are constantly looking for alternate methods and ways to improve the lives of our county animals, including speaking at city council meetings, and education of the public. This non-profit is the first to work trilaterally with our county shelter, city council, and the citizens to make our county a more humane place.

Not a Fan! What this organization provides is priceless..the "volunteer" who I dealt with..begs to defer..Short version..Super Super Rude explaining to me that the $100 I pd for them to get fixed 3 wks prior was not only nonrefundable but "Wouldn't" rescheduling them for another transport..plz keep in mind I called twice the day before and left messages that I had to work and wouldn't make the night before drop-off..didnt. hear back..so when she talked to me like I had just pulled up and "asked where my breakfast was"...I had just spent an hr& 1/2 trying to catch and fight them into a carrier..drove 35 mins with them freaking out while telling them..its ok..it ..We have to do this so I can still take care if you..IT WAS 5:00 in the morning..I know the transport had not left..a gentleman was closing the privacy gate that his van was in front of.."she" was wearing a AHOPE shirt with a very lil girl running to her van..Why wear a AHOPE shirt that early in the am if your not going anywhere and why get ur super lil up if your just going back home? Why am I just now writing this..because the 2 males I needed fixed are causing so many issues( fighting ,spraying) that chances are this week I will have to put them down.. (because its hard enough to get kittens adopted let only 2 male adults..so thats why I know what will evidently happen)So yes..they do provide a great service to some but not all

A HOPE has helped so many animals in our county get neutered/spayed from neighborhood cats to those that need a low cost option. A Hope transports the animals to a low cost spay/neuter over 2 hours away from our county at this time. A Hope's goal is to raise enough funds to build a low cost clinic in our community to educate our kids and help our animals.

My family adopted a kitten in Jun of 2019 from A Hope and Omega is the most chill, well behaved, loving, fun cat I have owned! I attribute this to the wonderful care, love, and socializing from the foster parents of A Hope. After finding a stray kitten in bad shape recently I reached out to A Hope for help. I was amazed at fast and well they took care of the kitten and decided to become a foster with A Hope then and there.

Begin a Foster and Volunteer for A Hope has taught me so much about animals, how to properly care for them, what to look for, awareness of the animal needs in our community. A Hope is a wonderful non profit to volunteer for with great rewards of knowing that you are making a difference in each animal lives that you come in contact with.

We heard about this animal rescue facility through co-workers whom have had great adoption stories from here. We decided to be a monthly hopes hero donor to help in the treatment and well being of these beautiful animals. We are hoping to have a fur baby of our own from this rescue and cannot wait to adopt one maybe two kittens in need of a loving home! Lona

Can't call because I have a hearing problem. My sister recently passed away and had a cat. No one in the family will take her; she has up to date tag, has been spayed, and has a container that holds several pounds of food, plus a litter box and basket of toys. She also has a like new pet carrier. She also has some monthly flea medicine. Her name is Milo. She is calico black in color. She has been an indoor cat most of her life. My other sister Angela can help if you want to talk with someone. Her # is 850-426-8429. Thank you. You can view Milo's picture on my facebook profile page. Janice Driggers.

I'm the volunteer coordinator for A HOPE....I never thought I'd be in this role, but Brandi Winkleman, our tireless and fearless leader, thought this is where I needed to be. Saying "no" was never an option; I have watched her over the past two years accomplish things in our county I honestly didn't think would happen so quickly. Brandi NEVER gives up on A HOPE's mission to serve our community and its animals and our great group of volunteers will do our best to continue making a difference - for the animals!!!

This group is making so many pawsitive changes in our community and county. Their hard work is helping to reduce shelter euthanasia, reduce pet overpopulation, increase adoptions and assist with a pet pantry for low income families!

A hope for Santa Rosa is doing A great job, rescuing animals from the Humane Society, finding foster homes. They also have a food pantry for cats, owners can get donated food for their pets if they can't afford it.

We will only need to rescue from the local shelter as long as there is a kill list. That will end soon as we work together to change the county mission and increase the live release!
