This program has helped mentor my middle school aged son. I highly recommend this program to parents of African American sons.
The work that this organization does in several communities across metro ATL is phenomenal. My son has been a participant in their mentoring program for the last few years and has had an opportunities and exposure unparalleled. It’s a blessing!!
I’m so grateful for 100 Black Men of North Metro Atlanta, Inc. for standing in the gap to mentor my son.
My son has been in the program since 2021 and he has grown so much socially, behaviorally, and academically. As a single mom, I needed this village to help my son as I know I could not raise him by myself. Thanks you 100 Black Men of North Metro!
The 100 Black Men of Atlanta North Chapter has been an incredible force in our community. Their mentorship and commitment to empowering young Black men is inspiring. I’ve seen firsthand how they shape futures and build confidence. Truly grateful for their positive impact and dedication!
100BM have great programs for the boys/young men and have great sessions and speakers to help the mentees be productive and successful.
The organization exposes my high schoolers to a variety of topics including finance, technology, character development and leadership.
I have been a member of this organization for over 25 years. I continue to be amazed at the accomplishments we have had. We have generated multiple national mentors and mentees of the year and have helped thousands of youths representing all demographics. I am so proud to be a member of this chapter that is known as "the working chapter."
I can't say enough good things about the 100 Black Men of North Metro, Inc. For 25 years they have served Cobb, Gwinnett and North Fulton counties by focusing on their Four for the Future platform. Through addressing mentorship, education, health & wellness and economic empowerment, this organization has had a positive impact on youth and families in these communities. The 100 Black Men of North Metro have proven to be good non-profit stewards by placing resources directly in the service areas while maintaining a low overhead cost expenditure. I would highly recommend this group to anyone.
I have been a member of the 100 Black Men, North Metro Chapter for 21 years. I love the work of our organization and North Metro specifically. The 100 Black Men of North Metro Chapter focuses on four primary pillars; Education, Mentoring, Economic Development, and Health and Wellness, we serve the northern arc of Atlanta (Smyrna, Roswell, Alpharetta, and Lawrenceville). Our award-winning Men of Tomorrow Mentoring Program has received national recognition for the work we have done with approximately 120, 11-18-year-old youth, annually. We graduate 100% of the mentees who stick with our mentoring program. We are also in several elementary and high schools. All total, we touch approximately 500 youth a year. The work of North Metro is second to none. We are unwavering in our pursuits to develop outstanding young men, who will make a positive contribution to society.

I've witnessed the work of the 100 since joining in 2006. During this time period, the Northmetro 100 Black Men have mentored thousand of youth through their weekend mentoring programs and onsite school sessions. The high school graduation rate of the kids in the Men of Tomorrow program stands at 100%. Many graduates have gone on to accomplish great things in life. The body of the 100 is comprised of men who volunteer their time; nobody is compensated for the time they devote to the kids. This organization is truly making a tangible difference in the community!!
I have been involved with the 100 Black Men of North Metro for the last seven years and the work we do specifically around mentoring young African American boys. The life skills and lessons are priceless, and the discipline and focus on values, education, health and wellness and economic advancement round out the experience. Positive black male figures showing “What they see is what they’ll be.”
As with most service organizations, time is the most valuable resource we can give or be given. In our quest to mentor young black men and boys, to prepare them for college and professional life we often run short of man power and time. Some of these shortcomings can be avoided with technology. A computer can teach hundreds when one man can’t. Exposure often leads to discovery and a lifetime of loved learning. We will put these children in the best possible environments for them to be successful, help us if you can.
The 100 Black Men of North Metro is a first class organization comprised of a wonderful group of men devoted to helping young men realize their full potential and to develop skills of excellence in everything they do. As the wife of a board member and former president, I know first hand how much this organization is dedicated and committed to making a positive difference in the young men they serve. The 100 Black Men of North Metro are passionate and give of their time unselfishly in mentoring through their Men of Tomorrow (MOT) program as well as mentoring and helping other organizations in the community. I have heard first hand from parents of some of the youngsters about how much of a difference being in the MOT program has made in the lives of their children. Additionally, some of the young men who have graduated have written back to various mentors in the organization thanking them for being there for them and pouring into them all the habits and little extras that inspired and propelled them on to success in college and beyond. Again, the 100 Black Men of North Metro is a top notch, nonprofit organization and I have rated them 5 stars!!
This organization is very dedicated to the community to mentor well over 200 students every month during the school year. They have really had made a positive impact on the community.
100 Black Men of North Metro lead teen LifeSkills education for HomeStretch--twice a month volunteers from the chapter lead a class on business ethics using curriculum from Junior Achievement. Research has informed us that homeless children do not value their future and do not factor it into decision making. The members of 100 Black Men Metro North challenge that mindset by introducing the teens to possibility, opportunity and the realities of hard work. The members of 100 Black Men are not just role models but they offer their time, their experiences to influence the kids through building relationships and high levels of engagement. The chapter has also invited individual homeless teen boys into their mentoring program.
100 Black Men of North Metro focuses on developing youth. For the past 16 years I have seen young men enter as 12 year old boys and emerge years later as 18 year old successful and productive young men. The program exposes young men to education, politics, responsibility, citizenship and critical thinking. Many of the youth have graduated from the program and have graduated from college and become school teachers, entrepreneurs, attorneys, law enforcement officers, salesmen, and pilots! Many have become responsible fathers and community leaders. Their success has inspired other youth to enroll in our mentoring programs and to pursue education with determination and enthusiasm. Mentoring works and the volunteer mentors play a huge role in inspiring our youth to aim high and excel!
Hi my name is Bryan Rogers, I am currently in my 1st year of membership volunteer with the 100 Black Men of North Metro Inc. My experiences have been overwhelmingly positive due to our chapter’s interactions with other positive organizations and people in the Metro Atlanta community. I have enjoyed volunteering and exchanging conversations with surrounding community leaders, civic personnel, concerned citizens, and parents about how we can work together to make a difference. I look forward to working with the 100 Black Men of North Metro Inc. to continue our 100 Black Men of America National objectives.
The dedication and commitment shown by the members of the 100 Black Men of North Metro, Inc. are truly an inspiration. The feedback from the parents of students helped by their Men of Tomorrow mentoring program makes me very proud of my association with them. They are truly changing lives. Please support them in any way you can!
