Well to start with, let it be known that i have not worked with Udayan Care but being a journalist by training whose core area of interest is development issues and Environment, I have been silently monitoring painstaking efforts of quite a few non profits both in metropolis and small pockets of India that are doing remarkable job and spreading smiles. Udayan care happens to be just one of them. With their programmes like Udayan Shalini Fellowship(USF), they have been successfully integrating a good amount of girl students into the mainstream society. And its not just integrating them but also making them self dependent, thats where the challenge lies.The beauty of this non profit lies in the fact that they have been doing remarkable job without beating drums about it. The efforts to carry out meaningful change to the lives of less privileged have been done in the most effective and honest manner.There have these girls from USF who have gone to engineering colleges, got great jobs and taken care of girls in USF with their own hard earned money. Thats the cycle of success that Udayan care has set in society. My heartful good wishes for the non profit from both as a journalist and as a human being.
