Root Division
August 11, 2008
I just recently graduated and needed to find an artist community and a space to work in. Root Division was a place that provided both. It also provided teaching experience, which I don't think I would have otherwise had. It's been really great, I've learned a lot and met a lot of fellow artists. It's a really good organization that supports both the artists and the community--we teach youth and adults and it's about including the community.

The Great!
I've personally experienced the results of this organization in...
seeing the shows by the artists in residence, the fundraisers, and the general support for the artists.
Ways to make it better...
If I had to make changes to this organization, I would...
n/a--I think it's doing really well for itself. It's growing, but they have a good core (board, staff) and that's key.
More feedback...
What I've enjoyed the most about my experience with this nonprofit is...
it's been fun being a part of the community, and also the teaching experience which I don't think I would otherwise have been able engage in.
The kinds of staff and volunteers that I met were...
honest, fun, really organized and relatable
If this organization had 10 million bucks, it could...
get a better studio space
Ways to make it better...

In my opinion, the biggest challenges facing this organization are...
reaching out to the WHOLE community.
When was your last experience with this nonprofit?
