VAANI Deaf Children's Foundation

Sangeeta Doloi's review of VAANI:
I feel it is easier for hearing people to learn Sign Language rather than making deaf children learn how to speak. This has not worked out in my son's case and I feel that I wasted a lot of time attempting to make my son speak. After my interaction with VAANI, I have realised that Communication is more important in the development of language than speaking.

More feedback...
What I've enjoyed the most about my experience with this nonprofit is...
that I get to meet other parents of young deaf children and share experiences We are able to support each other too. I am also able to communicate much better with my son.
The kinds of staff and volunteers that I met were...
very supportive and taught me a lot.
