I was so sick today (July 07) with my throat in real pain and bad headache. Since my school clinics does not open til Friday, I want to see a doctor at local clinics ASAP. Whitman is closest clinics to my place and I am in no shape of walking far.

I came to the reception in Whitman at 1701 14th St, NW and asked, saying that it was my first time at Whitman, telling him my conditions and that I need to see a doctor. The guy(s) at reception table told me Whitman only offers service to blood test and care to patients who already had doctor at Whitman, and also told me to walk to 17th NW & R st where I may find a doctor. When I walked out, I wondered-- God is this really a clinics or what? I agreed that I may need to fill some forms as a first timer, but saying no to patients was unacceptable. And of course I am willing to pay for the service on my own.

I thought goal of all clinics is to provide care to patients regardless their situation. . It seems not as it should be for Whitman Walker. They are like "Good luck dying if you are not gay or gay but forgot to mentioned".
