The Amos House is a first rate organization. The Executive Director, Eileen Hayes, cares about her employees and everyone who uses the Amos House, like her own children. Her dedication to the Amos House mission is unlike anything I have experienced in my years of business experience. That is why it is no coincidence that the Amos House is a success and a model for how non profits should operate. It is all part of the bigger strategic plan. The Amos House is successful also because it is not just about helping people, it is about helping people help themselves, which in the long run makes the persons success sustainable. The Amos House gives you the tools to succeed and then it is up to you.

I've personally experienced the results of this organization in...
Being a member of the Board and seeing what happens to real people. There is no better feeling than helping someone who is at their lowest become a successful contributor to society. They gain back self respect and pride which is so evident in their everyday demeanor. I have spoken to some of these people and their stories are simply amazing. However, without the Amos House, the chance of success would be very low.
Ways to make it better...
If I had to make changes to this organization, I would...
change very little except continue to figure out a way to get the word out about what Amos House is all about. In turn, this would create potentially more donations and allow the Amos House to continue to develop its programs and businesses to help all.
