Giving It Back to Kids
April 17, 2011
I took a missions trip to Vietnam with Robert and Dorothea last year. I had no idea how big Giving It Back To Kids has gotten, until I saw the miracles happen before my eyes in Vietnam. The moment that touched me the most was seeing a young boy after a year of getting heart surgery. I was told a brief backround on some of the children, and was told the child couldn't even put his head up. His mother was stressed out and doubtful of anything we could do for her son. After an hour of prayer, a sponsor, and a ton of more prayer, and year later, I could have sworn there was never anything wrong with that child. That boy was healthy and playing with other teens running around the room. The translators explained to the hopeful children needing heart surgeries that this boy had no energy a year ago. Now look at him. I was impressed and touched. The boy's mom was positive and encouraged others, telling them that she was once in their shoes. It was just one of my amazing experiences from Giving It Back to Kids. My life has been changed forever.
I've personally experienced the results of this organization in...
Vietnam and at the Gala in Newport Beach. I met an amazing young girl who had orthopedic surgery that changed her life. I am in awe of what Giving It Back To Kids has done for others.
Ways to make it better...
If I had to make changes to this organization, I would...
Have more money to donate to this organization. I would expand this organization to more asian countries than just Vietnam.
Volunteer & I over looked the orpanages, homes, orthopedic surgeries, and got to see updates on those who were blessed by Giving It Back to Kids.
