Review for Fifth Judicial District Casa Program Inc, Twin Falls, ID, USA
I started as a volunteer in this CASA Program in 2000. Being an advocate for abused and neglected children in South Central Idaho has given me a chance to give back to my community and make a difference in the lives of these children, one at a time. Our Program is appointed by a judge to every child protection case and we stay with these kids until they are returned to their parents or find a safe and permanent home. I have seen the growth of this Program these past 11 years. Today, we advocate for over 300 children currently involved in child protection cases in our district. We do make a difference and give these chiildren a voice in court.

I've personally experienced the results of this organization in...
Advocating for neglected and abused children in court. Our judges look to our Program to investigate "the best interests" of these children that are in the child protection system, through no fault of their own.
If I had to make changes to this organization, I would...
Raise a ton of money so we could have a CASA volunteer for every child that is ivolved in the court system. While our staff and attorneys oversee all cases, statistics prove that children with their own CASA volunteer receive more services and are found safe, permanent homes. Our mission statement is to recruit, train and support more volunteers to advocate for more children.
