As a Project Coordinating Intern for the Rainforest Partnership, I have learned how a successful nonprofit operates. Each employee and volunteer work thoroughly and effectively together to produce tangible products that benefit not only the nonprofit, but the greater Austin community, and Rainforest communities in Peru and Ecuador. I am impressed with how organized the managers and other interns are at distributing tasks and articulating objectives and clear goals. Specifically, I am working on the Films for the Forest Festival and am learning how to market successfully via social media, already established relationships with sponsors and other "green" organizations, and from those volunteers who already put on the first annual festival last year. I am honored to be a part of such a well-established and do-gooder organization!
I've personally experienced the results of this organization in...
Successful team meetings where we abide by the agenda's objectives for that day and month.
Ways to make it better...
If I had to make changes to this organization, I would...
Having more volunteers to assist with this project would help accelerate achieving the Film Fest objectives but so far the Rainforest Partnership is impressive in how successful it is in handling logistics.
Volunteer & I am coordinating social media and marketing for the Rainforest Partnership's Films for the Forest Fest and am lucky to work with such a dedicated and compassionate team. .
