My Nonprofit Reviews
Review for Women Empowered Against Violence, Inc., Washington, DC, USA
In May 2010 I started as a volunteer at WEAVE. I have come to know the people who work there as a group op people who are passionate about what they are doing: helping women to get their lives back on track. As far as I can see all the people are very dedicated to their work at WEAVE.
Would you volunteer for this group again?
For the time you spent, how much of an impact did you feel your work or activity had?
Did the organization use your time wisely?
Would you recommend this group to a friend?
What one change could this group make that would improve your volunteer experience?
I would like it if there is sufficient work when I come. I like it when there is enough work for me that keeps me going during the day.
Did your volunteer experience have an effect on you? (teaching you a new skill, or introducing new friends, etc.)
Yes, as a foreigner (Dutch) I learned about administration, regulations etc. The need for the work of WEAVE shows the other side of the US which most people who visit the US won't see. It gives a deeper view on the society.
How did this volunteer experience make you feel?
I feel that I can make a useful contribution to WEAVE, so they can spend more time and energy to their mission.
