I have been familiar with the work of Susan B. Anthony Center for over a decade. I have referred clients there, and observed the work of professional colleagues at the site. I have been very impressed with the systemic, holistic approach that sets Susan B. Anthony apart. So many women caught in the cycle of substance abuse lose their children, and then succumb to even deeper despair and renewed abuse. The children, too, suffer, as they may get shuttled between foster homes and feel abandoned by their mother. Susan B. Anthony allows mother and child to heal together, and strengthens the bond instead of erasing it. I only wish there were more such centers.

I have been so impressed with the great work this organization does. The cats have been so horribly abused and they give them a good home.
