Review for Wiserearth, San Francisco, CA, USA

Rating: 5 stars

Find people and orgs around the world who share the same goals and can help you - and get your help - by sharing experiences, issues and solutions. WiserEarth is a user generated content - with over 100,000 organizations and 22,000 users and growing – the platform offers a transparent, open-source space to expand connections, browse and post solutions, resources, events, jobs, and groups.

What I've enjoyed the most about my experience with this nonprofit is...

the chance to connect really interesting people around the globe. During the outreach for WiserEarth I contacted journalists, bloggers, professors and people from different NPOs and explored topics of interest (fair trade, climate change, indigenous

The kinds of staff and volunteers that I met were...

truly PASSIONATE about what they do. Many volunteers are in different parts of the world and have very international and interesting experiences. At the Sausalito headquarters, we played 4-square during the breaks and had a really team-oriented culture.

If this organization had 10 million bucks, it could...

invest in enhancing the website to further build its user base and user collaboration

Ways to make it better...

people and organizations at the grassroots level could have more access to Internet to be able to take advantage of what Wiserearth offers.

In my opinion, the biggest challenges facing this organization are...

users finding the balance between the time spent in their everyday work and the time sharing resources and solutions on an online platform.

One thing I'd also say is that...

the collective can change the world and Wiserearth is actively putting the movement for those who care about the earth and people. Every each of us will make a tremendous difference, so be active and join the movement!
