Through Mayan Families I have been able to sponsor a little girl in Guatemala to go to school and send her gifts. I sent her a bicycle one year for her birthday and she was very happy. Some years I send her a cake on her birthday and I know this makes her feel special. I often send money for food. Through Mayan Families she sends me pictures that she draws for me and she calls me her Godmother. I am encouraged to carry on when times get tough, because I remember my Godchild needs me. I have a child adopted from Guatemala, too. This is my way of giving back.

Mayan Families is a wonderful charity. They regularly send me updates and photos of my sponsored child. I am able to help send her to school and help the family in many ways. Through Mayan Families I was able to provide a stove and a water filter for the family of my sponsored child. I am very satisfied and pleased with the work that Myan Families does. It feels good to be able to be a God send to my sponsored child. She refers to me as her God Mother. I am very happy and thankful for this charity.
