North Raleigh Athletic Association
February 16, 2011
Four years ago I did an internet search for cheer coaching positions in the Raleigh area and I stumbled across a Pop Warner organization known as the North Raleigh Bulldogs. That fall I was fortunate enough to coach the Flag cheer squad, the same cheer squad that cheered for my son's football team. This was our family's first year as Bulldogs and this Fall will be our 4th year with this amazing association! In addition to coaching cheer for one year I have served as team parent for two years and I'm in my second year as the Cheer Commissioner. I couldn't be more proud of our organization and what we do for the boys and girls in our community who decide to be a part of our football and cheer program. With our help, these kids learn that hard work, dedication, teamwork, leadership, motivation and determination is what it takes to be a successful team and it teaches them fundamentals that they will carry with them now and forever. Without the committed coaching staff our organization is lucky enough to have, this all volunteer organization wouldn't be what it is today and I'm proud to be a parent, volunteer and board member and hope to be for many years to come!
I've personally experienced the results of this organization in...
Seeing the passion and drive my son has for football and living out his dream...a dream that was created over the years playing for the North Raleigh Bulldogs. I've never seen a kid so excited about a sport and asking why the season has to end as he still wants to play football!
Ways to make it better...
If I had to make changes to this organization, I would...
Do my best to get as many kids involved as possible so they too can experience the wonderful times our family has experienced with this amazing organization!
Board Member & Board Member, Cheer Commissioner and most importantly...a parent.
