My Nonprofit Reviews
Review for Harney Helping Organization For Personal Emergencies, Burns, OR, USA
I am very shocked that no one has written about the amazing people at the HHOPE Shelter for abused women and children.
As a client, i know how many women and children have been helped just in the time I have been here.
These people do all they can to help women and children get back on thier feet to live productive and safe lives again, giving them a safe place to be.
I cannot say enough about this treasure in Burns. Right in the middle of nowhere is a Shelter for any woman that is afraid for their lives and the lives of their children.
When I came here I was scared, lost and felt like a total failure. Laura, the Director, gave of herself and time to help me get past all of those fears, and gave me a place to call "home" until I find a way to get back on my feet again.
I wish to thank Laura and the staff and all the board members for what they do and continue to do on a daily basis. I pray you are able to stay around for many years to come.
I've personally experienced the results of this organization in...
My whole life has changed because of me being here. In very good ways.
If I had to make changes to this organization, I would...
Find a way for them to get more funding so that they can continue to stay open. Being in a small town, they get overlooked by many grants in Oregon. They need money to stay open.

Too many to even be able to tell you. In all aspects of my life. It also make me realize that no i am not a failure. Things happen in life, its that simple really and they helped me find my own strength and courage again to stand up and fight back for my life.
