I am currently an active volunteer with Meals on Wheels and a Board member. I am so thankful that an organization like Meals on Wheels exist in my community. The stellar quality of the volunteer program and the wonderful community experience I encounter every time I serve on the meal delivery route is such a blessing to me.
As a Board Member I know that this organziation values my time and utilizes my gifts to improve and sustain the mission and operations of Meals on Wheels. The Meals on Wheels staff are so talented and dedicated to each client; they work as a strong team to meet the needs of the clients and communicates with the volutneers, community leaders and the families within our community.

I currently serve as a meal delivery route volunteer from my work place site. To meet and hear the clients share how thankful they are for the support from Meals on Wheels and the hot delicious meal that is hand delivered with a bit of conversation is so touching; I feel that my volunteer time is making a difference in the life of another community resident.
Ways to make it better...
If I had to make changes to this organization, I would...
Find ways to support the need of a larger kitchen to operate in and sustain a garden plot for the organization to have free fresh vegetables to be able to deliver (in the appropriate season) with the meals to the clients.
MY ROLE:
Volunteer & Recruit a team of staff from my work place to establish a meal delivery route. .
