IR didn't have to worry about the financial crisis and could get on with its substantive work.
In my opinion, the biggest challenges facing this organization are...
the tremendous scale of the task compared to the resources available to accomplish it.
One thing I'd also say is that...
the climate change crisis increases the value of water running in streams and rivers at the same time it increases demand for hydropower. IR is an important advocate to see that destructive dams aren't built in the name of renewable energy.
