Hill Country Daily Bread

My husband and I were looking to serve in a Christian based service charity in our area after we moved here. After being asked to help with the Christmas box packing, we did more research and decided to make Hill Country Daily Bread our weekly service contribution.
The most impressive aspect of the organization is its' deliberate attempt to be personally involved in the transformation, through the love and teaching of Jesus Christ, to break the cycle of poverty in the Hill Country. The idea of serving the soul as well as the body is paramount to the fulfullment of the mission of Christ, and this body comes as close as we have found to making that happen.
We have shared our experiences with our friends and hope to generate more and more interest in sparking their volunteer and giving efforts to Hill Country Daily Bread. God has blessed us with some wonderful new relationships through the participants here, and we are much better for it.

People are being fed and nurtured like nowhere else we have ever encountered. The prayerful consideration of all that is taken on here is especially admirable.
Ways to make it better...
