Raising Special Kids
October 13, 2010
I have worked with this organization for over 15 years. We send our pediatric residents there as a part of their rotation in Developmental and Behavioral Pediatrics and they visit a family at home who has a child with a disability. This is the best way to see a child, at home, in their world, and not in a Hospital or Clinic setting. They love it. The families love it and I certainly love it. I have more recently been on their Professional Advisory Board and still would love to have more time to do more for this outstanding organization. It's the Best!
I've personally experienced the results of this organization in...
The changed attitudes about children with disabilities and special health care needs that I see in the Pediatric Residents who go to their center and visit their families.
Ways to make it better...
If I had to make changes to this organization, I would...
Give them more resources to do what they do best.
Professional with expertise in this field & I am a member of their Professional Advisory Board and do whatever I can. .
