Review for Environmental Traveling Companions, San Francisco, CA, USA

Rating: 4 stars

I am a volunteer with the organization. They create an amazing community of fun and acceptance. Whether on the river, kayaking on the bay or cross-country skiing in the mountains, this makes for a wonderful experience for participants and essential life lessons for volunteers. Many of the other volunteers have gone on to become some of my dearest friends- it is a real community.

Review for African Food & Peace Foundation, Concord, MA, USA

Rating: 5 stars

I took a group of high school students out to visit the URDT girls school this summer. The program that has been put together helps these girls through empowering the total person. Not just giving them the academic and sustainable farming skills, but also building self knowledge, health, communication skills and world view. I saw first hand the positive changes this program was having for students, their families, and whole communities. We learned from and with their students and my students are forever changed and challenged to go out and be real change agents in the world
