Santa Clara County FireSafe Council
April 20, 2009
I just became a volunteer with this organization and I am amazed at the amount of work they do with various communities. The chipping program is particularly beneficial to reduce vegatation in high fire zones throughout the county. Homeowners can't keep up with the growth using the ONE can of green yard waste alloted by the garbage company. The organizations community outreach programs, including Smokey Story Time are great ways of spreading the message of fire awareness.
Overall a very well-run organization.
I've personally experienced the results of this organization in...
the communities and neighborhoods in the County.
What I've enjoyed the most about my experience with this nonprofit is...
how well organized and efficient they are.
The kinds of staff and volunteers that I met were...
all very helpful and willing to answer questions.
If this organization had 10 million bucks, it could...
do a heck of a lot to reduce the fire danger throughout the county, particularly in the Urban Wildfire zones.
When was your last experience with this nonprofit?
Volunteer & Attend meetings & will help with Smokey Story time.
