This is the current corporate name for the American Friends of the Episcopal Diocese of Jerusalem. AFEDJ is an independent, non-political 501c3 providing humanitarian aid to the schools, hospitals, clinics and institutes for the disabled of the Episcopal Diocese of Jerusalem. The Diocese includes Israel, Palestine, Jordan, Syria and Lebanon. The Diocese serves all, regardless of ethnic, religious or economic background. The American Friends of the Episcopal Diocese of Jerusalem merged with Evangelical Homes for Children in 2003. The organization listed here in Texas no longer exists. Please go to Evangelical Homes for Children, doing business as American Friends of the Episcopal Diocese of Jerusalem, located in Connecticut for accurate information on the work this organization does today. www.afedj.org. It is an independent, non-political 501c3 providing humanitarian aid to the schools, hospitals and institutions for the disabled in the Diocese of Jerusalem. The Episcopal Diocese of Jerusalem serves all through education and healthcare, regardless of ethnic, religious or economic background. In this volatile region, tolerance and respect for differences is an important message and a critical mission.

The kinds of staff and volunteers that I met were...

Most have visited the Holy Land and been transformed by the experience. We value their insight and commitment.

If this organization had 10 million bucks, it could...

Educate every child in the entire Diocese, allowing them a better future and advancing the cause of peace.

Ways to make it better...

We had more resources to address the overwhelming need.

In my opinion, the biggest challenges facing this organization are...

Those living in the Diocese face uncertainty and fear every day. Stability and hope can come in many ways. We hope to inspire many to support this work.
