STANDARDBRED RETIREMENT FOUNDATION INC

I have volunteered with the SRF for over a year and I actually know which horses the last reviewer is speaking about. I do know both horses were accepted into the program in extremely bad condtion. They were being starved at their last facility and one is about 28yrs old, had cushing's and the teeth were so bad that she couldn't eat. SRF has since brought both horses back to health and the older one is 120% better then when she arrived due to the care she has been receiving. She get special meals 3x's a day and a family member has been visiting since they arrived. She was actual featured in their last newsletter. Since the pair broke off from each other and one was being rehabed the other made new friends and was moved with them to an alternate facility for their companions. Whatever contribution was made I am sure was appreciated and probably spent on the rehab expenditures to date. SRF will now care for both horses and pay for their full care for the rest of their lives because that is their mission.
I've personally experienced the results of this organization in...
I am extremely impressed at their dedication & how many horses they actually care-it's over 160 & they follow up on 20yrs of past adoptions. They never deny a return from an adopter either.
When was your last experience with this nonprofit?
