Review for AIDSLaw of Louisiana, New Orleans, LA, USA

Rating: 5 stars

AIDSLaw of Louisiana, Inc. is a Louisiana non-profit corporation that was formed by a group of attorneys and legal professionals in New Orleans in 1989. At that time it was realized that the individual efforts were not sufficient to meet the the legal needs of the indigent clients with HIV/AIDS. AIDSLaw is the ONLY AIDS service organization that is dedicated exclusively to the legal needs of this group of people, free of any charge.

I've personally experienced the results of this organization in...

fundraising activities that assist in paying expenses and services not covered by other funding such as grants. I have met the staff and am so impressed with their dedication to the mission.

If I had to make changes to this organization, I would...

expand services to rural areas.

What I've enjoyed the most about my experience with this nonprofit is...

meeting the staff, board members and some of the founding members. This is a wonderful group of people and I am proud to know them.

The kinds of staff and volunteers that I met were...

dedicated, professional and happy with their work.

If this organization had 10 million bucks, it could...

solve all the legal problems for people with HIV/AIDS and never worry about budget cuts again.

Ways to make it better...

I had more time and money to donate to this great cause.

In my opinion, the biggest challenges facing this organization are...

budget cuts on both the Federal and State level!!!

One thing I'd also say is that...

missions like this are truly a marvelous thing for our community-and it is working.

How frequently have you been involved with the organization?

About every month

When was your last experience with this nonprofit?

2010
