Review for The Women's Center of Southeastern Michigan, Ann Arbor, MI, USA

Rating: 5 stars

The Women's Center has a niche market/clientele that find peace and guidance wrapped in the wise direction of those that work at the Center. All of the adminstration, staff and volunteers understand the unique qualities that the Women's Center possess for anyone walking in off the street struggling with where to go next in life, in their careers, in their personal lives.
Having been involved with the Center since the first day they opened 14+ years ago, I have served in many capacities. I've been on the Board, volunteered in different capacities to assist for various programs and on an ongoing basis have donated time and money.
I am always humbled by the good people who work to provide a stable, steady, kind and nurturing atmosphere for all who enter. Please take some time to stop by and be amazed and dazzled by the work of the Women's Center of Southeastern Michigan.

Review for The Women's Center of Southeastern Michigan, Ann Arbor, MI, USA

I have personally been involved with this organization since its inception. I knew 2 of the founders personally and have gotten to know Kim (the current Executive Director) since she started with the Women's Center. These are amazing women who started the center and Kim, who continues to run The Women's Center of Southeastern Michigan! They give their heart and soul to make everyone who is impacted by the center, feel like they have an extended family. When life is challenging enough, this group helps keep people grounded and able to find a new starting place or know that they can move on better than before. Everytime I visit the center, I am constantly reminded of the warmth of the staff and the caring way they help each client who comes in the door--whether it is for basic tax filing, job coaching, counseling thru tough times, or financial/legal support. It's truly an honor to be a part of this wonderful organization!

What I've enjoyed the most about my experience with this nonprofit is...

the incredibly talented an caring folks who run it!

The kinds of staff and volunteers that I met were...

all genuine and interested in helping whomever was in need.

If this organization had 10 million bucks, it could...

do so much more than it already has done and be able to reach so many more folks who need various kinds of support.

How frequently have you been involved with the organization?

About every six months

When was your last experience with this nonprofit?

2010

Role:  Donor & Having had various roles at the Women's Center, I can say they all have helped me become a better volunteer and donor. I have assisted with fund raising, have been on the Board, an avid supporter and donor for years and have even coached women going thru .
