I have had the privilege of working on several of SHARE's ovarian programs during the last four years. The most significant being the implementation of SHARE's toll-free Ovarian Cancer Hotline. The Hotline is a service which provides women diagnosed with ovarian cancer or who have suspicious symptoms and their family and friends with support, information, resources and hope. SHARE's Hotline is staffed by trained volunteers are themselves ovarian cancer survivors, and thus can relate to callers on a personal level, identifying with the callers concerns, fears, and experience. Most importantly, having lived through the experience, SHARE's Hotline volunteers provide callers with hope.
I've personally experienced the results of this organization in...
the support and empowerment they provide women through all of their programs.
