I work at an organization that employs many of the women from the Lotus House. It is always such a refreshing delight to work with them. They are sweet, professional, hard working and always extremely grateful. They are also very focused and you can tell the take the opporunities given to them very seriously. The women talk about the future, their plans, and in today's rocky economy, it is nice to see this type of optimism. The Lotus House provides a service to these women and that cannot be found anywhere else in Miami. It treats women on a holistic level and provides them with serives and skills they would otherwise not have access to. We are very lucky to have a shelter of this kind in our community.
