My Nonprofit Reviews
Review for VISITING NURSE ASSOCIATION OF THE INLAND COUNTIES, Riverside, CA, USA
No doctor ever visited my mother during the entire time my mother was under VNAIC's care. The nurses were very nice. The social worker and grief counselors were inadequate, at best. In fact, I found them to be unhelpful and in fact, they actually added to the anguish I was experiencing during the time my mother was dying and since she died. They made me feel that I was not doing enough when I was devoting my entire life and finances to my mother's care. The lead grief counselor clearly did not have proper training and was not very skillful. I have continued to hear unflattering things about the grief counseling VNAIC provides. In clear conscience, I could not recommend this organization to anyone.
What I've enjoyed the most about my experience with this nonprofit is...
The kinds of staff and volunteers that I met were...
The nurses were great. The others unkind and unskillful
If this organization had 10 million bucks, it could...
probably hire much more experienced and talented people
Ways to make it better...
the social worker and grief counselor were kinder, more empathic, more profeswsional, and better trained
In my opinion, the biggest challenges facing this organization are...
Hiring talented and qualified social work and counseling staff
One thing I'd also say is that...
If you need hospice care and grief aftercare, use another organization
How frequently have you been involved with the organization?
About every week
