MedShare is an organization that I volunteer for. I am able to go into a welcoming environment where people are proud to be doing what they are doing. I work in the medical field and the waste my profession creates is unbelievable. At MedShare non used medical supplies are opened up and sorted to provide to those in need. I was shown a video at MedShare of a baby that died in another country because it did not have oxygen tubing. At the hospital I work at there is an abundance of oxygen tubing. I had no idea what a simple thing I take for granted every day could provide to a child, the gift of life.
I've personally experienced the results of this organization in...
the waste it prevents in our landfills.
What I've enjoyed the most about my experience with this nonprofit is...
the flexibility of the schedule and hours.
The kinds of staff and volunteers that I met were...
the kindest and warmest of them all.
If this organization had 10 million bucks, it could...
bring life to so many in the world we live in.
When was your last experience with this nonprofit?
Volunteer & I sort medical supplies that would otherwise be in our landfills and prepare those supplies to go to those in need.
