My Nonprofit Reviews
Review for River City Community Animal Hosital, Jacksonville, FL, USA
When my community started a small orgainzation to practice TNR we began looking for help to make a difference in the number of kittens being born in our neighborhood. We contacted River City and they not only offered to come to the neighborhood to do a spay/neuter day they also found a grant to help us bring down the costs of the spay/neuter even further than their reduced rates. Because of their efforts and help we were able to spay/neuter 74 cats last year. This has reduced the number new litters being born within the neighborhood. This year we have less than half the number of litters and with the continued growth of our organization and with River City's help we hope to reduce the number of litters to zero within a couple of years. Thank you for all your help.
What I've enjoyed the most about my experience with this nonprofit is...
Their dedication to the mission to provide low cost spay/neuter to all cats and dogs.
The kinds of staff and volunteers that I met were...
all professional and caring.
If this organization had 10 million bucks, it could...
Make a huge difference in many small communities within Northeast Florida and Southeast Florida. They could get a state of the art traveling clinic that would allow them to help animals much further than they can now.
Ways to make it better...
I could be sure that the organization could continue the great work they are doing. They need operating expenses covered and that is a need that is not covered by many grants.
In my opinion, the biggest challenges facing this organization are...
Finding the money to expand their area to help. Many small towns have asked for their help and because of a lack of operating funds there is not a way to get to these towns.
One thing I'd also say is that...
I trust the people who operate this mobile clinic completely. I have dealt with them and spoken to them and realize their total dedication to the animals.
