My Nonprofit Reviews
Review for Bach Aria Soloists, Kansas City, MO, USA
The Bach Aria Soloists are a Kansas City treasure. The level of expertise is unmatched- always at the highest skill level of the core musicians and guest artists. And imaginative? Oh my- always setting the stage for a higher level experience with the music- world premieres, inventive collaborations, enlightening world-renowned speakers, and the list goes on. How fortunate we are to have the Bach Aria Soloists, and the founder/artistic director/executive director and amazing solo violinist, Elizabeth Suh Lane, in our midst!
What I've enjoyed the most about my experience with this nonprofit is...
the level of musicianship of each event- always prepared, professional and skilled to the highest level.
The kinds of staff and volunteers that I met were...
hard working, humble, inventive, engaging, "big thinkers"!
If this organization had 10 million bucks, it could...
set the stage for a whole new level of learning and experience for classical music lovers across the US and the world. This group sets the bar high and is highly inventive- they could set the Chamber Music world on fire with their collaborative nature.
Ways to make it better...
there was a pool of volunteers helping weekly.
In my opinion, the biggest challenges facing this organization are...
time commitments and balancing the work load. Also, staying ahead of the grant-writing process, and exploring more avenues for private funding from current patrons and future patrons.
One thing I'd also say is that...
it is amazing that this group is celebrating 10 years of success when the arts world is suffering greatly from a funding standpoint. The strength of the income they currently receive is impressive!
